PROPHECY GIRL

Prophecy Girl is a short, character-based documentary that embraces the queer identity and artistic ambition of 23-year-old Isaac Bridges and their on-stage, hyper-pop DJ persona, ‘Prophecy Girl’. Set in Melbourne, Australia, we're shown a slice of life as an emerging artist expands their career whilst balancing staying financially afloat. Driven by their authenticity, Isaac sets out to inspire others through their performances to be their most authentic self.

I had the honour of being selected to direct a film as a part of my studies during my Bachelor of film and television. I chose to direct a documentary showcasing an individual I find inspirational, Isaac Bridges - who continues to thrive and build their career as a DJ, performer and producer originally from Melbourne, Australia. It was so much fun getting to explore their world and capture it on film.

Prophecy Girl was selected and screened at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival in 2025!
